Note: The South Bend Tribune's obituary December 07, 1944: Pvt. Kanczuzewski went overseas Sept. 20, and served in England, France, Belgium and Germany. The Valedictorian of the 1941 class in Culver Ind. High School, he was an honor student at Indiana Technical Engineering College. Fort Wayne Ind. He enlisted in the Army Reserves and was called up for basic training in June 1943. He was later in the army specialized training program at Alabama Polytechnical Institute, Auburn Ala.
