RUTH ELIZABETH CARTER
Ruth Elizabeth Carter, 86, Topeka, died Friday, April 5, 1991, at a Topeka hospital.
Miss Carter operated a bookkeeping and income tax service many years before she retired.
She was born Feb.11, 1905, in Topeka, the daughter of John James and Sallie Elizabeth V. Carter. She was graduated from Topeka High School.
Miss Carter was a member of Highland Park Christian Church and the Christian Endeavor Organization.
Two sisters, Dorothea G. Brooks, Topeka, and H. Lucile Emerson, Burlington, Wash. survive.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Miss Carter will lie in state from 9 a.m. today until 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tibbitts-Griffin Funeral Chapel.
