Notes
a. Note:   Notes from interview with Alexander Hough Wright in 1993:
Your mother (Loette Mead) had taken a job in Montgomery working for the government. My office was in Montgomery also. I met her in the hall. Our first date was after an office party that was held for all offices in that building. I had a date with another girl from my office. She had invited your mother and her date to go along with them. Afterwards, I asked her if we could have a "late date" -- this was stylish at the time. Virginia (her sister) didn't like that much -- the family frowned on it. Virginia had said, "This is hardly the time for calling." We went for a drive and a soft drink, and returned about 10:00 PM. I asked for another date, and things went "from bad to worse"!
We dated from about 1940, and were going to marry the next year. But her mother died, so we waited until July 10, 1942. We had our honeymoon in Pensacola and Panama City, FL. Then we went to live in her daddy's place on Terrace Avenue in Montgomery. Reid Doster also lived there with Aunt Wilma. It was just the four of us.
