Note: . He came over from Poland by ship with his family. Frank spent most of his life farming but became engaged in carpentry and masonry etc. when his eldest son took over the farm work. Frank built the barn on the McGrath farm. He owned 80 acres. Frank worked in the Dakotas in the summer to make money threshing at the Adams Farm in Fergus Falls (Mike Greniski). Above is from interviews with family. Newspaper clippings in the Frank Warzecka file in Stearns County History Museum, St. Cloud, Minnesota indicate that Frank was quite notorious, becoming known as the "Holdingford terror." He was often in conflict with his neighbors, had many brushes with the law, and spent some time in jail. At one point he was ordered to leave the town but seems to have subsequently returned. His death was violent, but is the subject of some controversy. Newspaper accounts indicate he died as the result of injuries in a building accident, a descendent gives an account in which he was murdered by neighbors. Not found on the 1902 plat map but the name on the same property is obscured on that map. Frank was the youngest of his family. In Poland his family lived in a small village and farmed. Warzeka Genealogical Tree says Frank and Elizabeth born in Germany around 1871. He is shown on the 1880 census as age 10 at that time (see father's record). First stage petition for naturalization filed 7 Dec 1899 [?], Distirct Court, Stearns co. Certificate in Stearns County Historical Society. Although his death certificate says he was buried in St. Wendel, we were unable to find his grave. There are, however, some unmarked graves near other Warzeckas.
