Postcard from "Laura and Jack"--postmarked June 25, 1912, city ****ax?--addressed to "Mrs. M. Hitsman, 846 W 6th St, Reno, Nevada"--"6/23-12 Dear Mother We all most for got it was you birthday we both wish you a happy one and many yet to come your son and daughter Laura & Jack" 4 Postcard from "Laura and Jack"--postmarked Mar. 19, 1913, Pendelton, Oregon--addressed to "Mrs. M. Hitsman, 846 W 6th St. Reno, Nevada--"from Laura and Jack to Mother". 5. Postcard from "Laura and Jack"--postmarked Dec 22, 1913, Pendleton, Oregon--addressed to 'Mrs. M. Hitsman 846 W. 6th St., Reno, Nevada--"Pendleton, Ore 12/21-13 A Merry Xmas and Happy New Year from Laura and Jack" 6. Picture postcard--no address--no postmark--nothing written on back side--front side is photo of baby boy perched on stool of some kind. Caption at bottom reads "Jack Edward Hitsman Age 6 months". This record is consistent with 1930 Federal Census/Idaho/Washington/Election Precinct 4 (Weiser, Idaho) for John M Hitsman. 7. Birth announcement--"Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hitsman take pleasure in announcing the arrival of an eight pound daughter on the twenty eighth day of October". This record is consistent with the 1930 Federal Census/Idaho/Washington/Election Precinct 4 (Weiser, Idaho). The daughters name was Annis Alice and she married a Metzger. 8. In Jennie (Hitsman) Bethune's obit. dated Nov. 16, 1946 John M. Hitsman of Oregon is listed as a surviving brother. 9. In 1920 John (Jack), his wife 'Allace' and their son 'Jack' were living with Allace's father Edward McGrew in Weiser, Idaho. 10. Postcard from "Alice"--postmark date unreadable, Seattle, Wash.--addressed to "Mrs. Fred Bertrand, Yerington, Nevada"--"Seattle Oct 4th, 1915 Your second letter received today...I will write to John again ? I would like to see him while I am in this part of the country...Alice". A reference to John still living the Pacific Northwest, probably Oregon or Idaho. 11. On the 1910 Federal Census/Oregon/Baker/Baker John Hitzman was boarding with a 'Mike White' and is listed as single.
