a. Note:   On the occasion of their 50th Wedding Anniversary the local paper had an article, which stated.
  On Thursday, May 30th, Mr. and Mrs. William C. Rudolf will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. Honoring the event, open house will be held at their home, 408 West Seventh street from 2 to 4 o'clock in the afternoon and from 6 to 8 o'clock in the evening. Relatives and friends are invited to attend without further invitation.
 Their marriage took place May 30, 1890, at Archer, Neb. Mr. Rudolf was born in Zukow, Pommern, Germany, September 15, 1863. In 1883 he came to Grand Island and a short time later went to Archer where he was employed on the farm of his Uncle Frank Zamzow. Returning here in 1884 he took employment with the Union Pacific and for three years was an employee of that company at Green River, Wyoming. Following his marriage to Ann Muchow, the couple located on a farm near Archer where they resided for 47 years. Since retiring in 1937, Mr. and Mrs Rudolf have made their home in Grand Island. Mrs. Rudolf was born at Macomb, Illinois, June 5, 1870, and moved to Archer with her parents in 1882.
 They are the parents of four sons, Emil, George, John and William; and two daughters , Mrs Henry Suck Jr., residing near Phillips and Mrs. Walter Thede, who passed away April 4th of this year. There are also eight grand children.
