But that is wrong, her father was born in Germany and came to this country about age 15 or 16 per biography in Lutheran church paper. See notes for Jacob Mode.

 , Roth son age 21, can read & write , Alice dau, age 19 can read & write , Robley son, age 17, can read & write , Bertha dau, age 15, can read & write , Frank son, age 13, can read & write , Flossie dau, age 9 Alice, Bertha, & Frank had attended school in 1919. Everyone listed as able to read & write except Flossie and apparently she had not attended school in 1919. Sherril says that Roth and Rob could not read or write. He knows that Rob could not for sure because his wife always did any of the writing etc.
  OBITUARY FOR FRED J. GLOVER 10/26/60
  Fred J. glover, 81, retired Edwards county farmer, was found dead Saturday morning in his home in Grayville.
 The White Co. coroner's office at an inquest held Monday gave the cause and time of death as from natural causes and occurring early Friday evening.
 Mr. Glover, born 02/24/1879 in Edwards Co. IL, was the son of Richard and Alice Roosevelt Glover. A lifelong resident of Edwards Co., he moved to Grayville two years ago. His wife Loisa Mode Glover, passed away in March 1956.
 Survivors include three sons, Roth of Albion, Robly of Grayville, and Frank of Enfield; 3 daughters, Mrs. Alice Edwards of Grayville, Miss Bernice Glover of Washington D.C. and Mrs Flossie Driggers of Carmi; 15 grandchildren;13great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Alletta Wick of Albion.
 Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Grayville. Rev. John Bender officiated with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
