Mrs. Stephen Parker Sarah Ann Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Adams was born near Terre Haute, In iana, in 1858 and passed away at her home in Athelstan Iowa, September 18, 19 5, age 77 years, 1 month and 5 days. With her parents she came to Missouri i 1860 and spent most of her life in that state until about 9 years ago she mo ed to Athelstan. She was united in marriage to Stephen M. Parker, April 21, 18 8. To this union 16 children were born. She leaves to mourn her departure, er companion, 7 sons and 3 daughters, as follows: Joe Parker, Sherdian Mo.; Adaline Runyon, Sheridan Mo.; Homer, Thomas, and Ed of Athelstan Iowa; Mrs. Maggie Morris, Athelstan Ia.; Charley Parker Gregory S. Dak.; Stephen Parke Woodburn Indiana ; Mrs Alma Miller Parnell Mo. Six preceeded her in death a follows: Gertie Simms, Isadore Mo.; Bessie Hurst Tabor Ia.; Sylvia M. Par er of St. Joseph Mo.; Johnnie Parker Sherdian Mo.; and two who died in infanc . She also leaves three sisters and one brother as follows: Mrs. Rosa Black of Sherdian Mo.; Mrs. Eliza Tackett Tabor Ia.; Mrs Clara Potter Lewistown M nt.; and James J. Adams Sherdian Mo. 51 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchil ren also survive. She united with the Baptist church and always lived a consis ent christian life and expressed her readiness to go. She was always a fait ful companion, loving mother and an excellent neighbor.
