a. Note:   Died in Helena, AR from exhaustion due to measles in 1864, two months after he enlisted in the 4th AR Cav. Co. I unit (Union).
 Originally buried in Helena, AR. After war was over, all Union
 soldiers were reinterred in either Louisiana or Memphis National
 Cemetery in Memphis, TN. Was originally listed as C.C. DEILEN on
 tombstone. A new corrected tombstone with all info was erected
 in Oct. 2000 with full Union military honors provided by the
 Union re-enactors as well as the current Marine Corp.
