a. Note:   In 1765 Christian was a soldier in the Prinz Karl Regiment. He came to Oberkaufungen between 1774 and 1776 with his wife and, at least, three sons from Thurnhosbach. By about 1776 he was a brickfirer at the Ziegelhutte, or brickworks.
