Note: ers. Attended LA public schools & Millsaps College, Jackson MS. Served in 42nd & 89th Infantry divisions in France during World War I. Attended Louisiana State Univ. & received BA & MA degrees. Was principal & teacher at Shady Grove School, Grosse Tete, LA. Attended Columbia Univ., New York, NY, & received MA degree in American history, 1921 or '22. Appointed American history teacher & department head at Trenton (NJ) High School where he taught from 1922 to 1944. Because of departmental politics & poor health he moved to Dallas TX with wife & daughter in 1944. Worked for Dallas Sanitation Dept. as Asst. Supt., 1945-63. Moved with wife to Arlington TX in 1969 where he lived until his death. Attended Methodist church regularly: St. Paul Methodist Episcopal in Trenton, Munger St. Methodist in Dallas, & First Methodist in Arlington.
