a. Note:   e evening of the 3d inst., RODOLPHUS LITTLE, son of LYMAN LITTLE, deceased, a boy about 15 years of age, wandered into the woods with his dog, hunting. Not returning the following day, his friends became alarmed, and enquiries were made, when a neighbor remarked that on the night previous he had seen a light in the woods not far from his house. They proceeded immediately to the spot and there found the remains of the unlucky child. "It appeared that the boy had set fire to a large hollow tree and laid down to rest. It appeared that the tree had burned down and fell upon him while he no doubt was asleep on the ground. It fell upon his lower extremities which were consumed to ashes, his right arm was consumed to the elbow and the left badly burned. His clothes were consumed, except the collar about his neck. "No doubt he was killed instantly by the fall of the tree as his eyes appeared to have never been opened from the time they were closed in natural sleep, says our medical informant."
