Notes

Note: Edward served 2 years overseas as Bandmaster of the 101 regiment and was said to be the oldest Bandmaster in active service in WWI. Prior to the war he was Bandmaster of the MA Naval Brigade and had traveled extensively in the US with his band. For 17 years he was a trumpeter in the Boston Symphony Opera Company. He was also a music teacher.
