Note: per Diane Burkett: http://genforum.genealogy.com/lafitte/messages/122.html I believe the Rose Lafitte listed may be the Rose who is the oldest daughter of Pierre Lafitte and Marie Louise Villars.
I would love to hear from anyone having information on Rose Lafitte born on or about 8/28/1812 to Pierre and Marie Louise. I believe this Rose Lafitte to be my 4-great grandmother. If this is correct, my mitochondrial DNA would be that of the Villars sisters since I am descended entirely along the female line.
