Note: Notes A land patent in Livinston Parish was issued in 1811 to a Nancy Settoon. Futher notes: From records of St. Helena Parish-1832. On May 11, 1832. Nancy, wife of the late _____ Day and formerly the wife of John Settoon, Sr., deceased, came before Berlin Childress together with Samuel Settoon; Zilla Settoon, wife of John Crossen; Frances Starnes, widow of John Starnes, decd.; John Settoon, Jr.; James Settoon; Bartholomew Settoon; Eligah Settoon; and Daniel Settoon -- all co-heirs of John Settoon, S They have entered into the following amicable partition of the community property existing between John Settoon, Sr., and Nancy Day: The estate is to be divided into two equal parts: one-half doing to the heirs, and one-half to the widow of the deceased. The widow has agreed to take a child's part; therefore, the estate is to be divided into 9 equal parts, there being 8 heirs. The whole amount of the estate is $5,728. The sales and personal property are to be divided also.
