Note: From The Obituaries Notice for George I do not have what paper it came from though: 1884--George Hoffman--1950 George Frederick Hoffman was born in Sargeant Township, Minn., March 3 1884, the eldest son of Peter and Sophia Hoffman. He was baptized into the Christian faith at an early age and later was confirmed in our Lord. His boyhood was spent in the Dexter community, where he attended country schools. Later he attended College in Austin for a year. On Oct. 5. 1919, he was united in marriage with Anna Kirchner, who proceeded him in death in March, 1944. During these years, Mr Hoffman was active in farming and acquired many friends through his activity. In June, 1945 he was united in marriage with Ida Skaran of Grand Meadow. and together they were able to take several enjoyable trips to the west coast and the Twin Cities, while continuing to work on their farm. During the past year, Mr Hoffman was in declining health and received tender care in his extended illness from his wife, Ida. In spite of his health , his will to work kept him busy on the farm until his death on Nov. 4, 1950, from a hear attack. His whole life was spent in the Dexter, Renova community, he was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Benjamin, he is survived by his wife, Ida, two sisters, Mrs John Goetsch (Minnie) of Blooming Prairie and Mrs. Florence Hagen of Dexter, a brother, Arthur of Lansing, a stepson, Earl Skaran of Kasson, two stepdaughters, Mrs Gerald Mullaney (Opal) of St. Paul and Mrs Fred White
