Note: NOTES: Jonas came, probably as a young man still with his family,
to Greene County, Ohio. After his marriage to Elizabeth Pearson in 1836 they moved to Grant County, Indiana where all of the children were born, except Gilford. They settled, finally in Blackford County, Indiana about 1850 and Gilford was born there 1854.
After Elizabeth's death, Jonas married again in 1864 to Martha E. (Gray) Johnson, a widow with 2 children from her
marriage to Robert W. Johnson, who died in 1862.
When Martha and Jonas came to Wright County, they had these children WITH THEM: Gilford, Mariah (Mary), Robert, Penina.
Shadrick G., Jonas Alfred, and the twins, Axum and George were born in Howard Lake, Wright County, Minnesota
Mary (Mariah) and Robert were Martha's children from marriage to Robert Johnson
