  Joseph was a veteran in the Civil War. He served in the 6th Maine Reg't of Voluteers for 3 years. He was wounded 6 times, once very painfully. At the time it was thought to be fatal.
  When he died in 1893 in Wright County Minnesota he left a widow and 9 children.....4 0f whom were under ten yrs. old.[Fuller.GED]
