Notes
a. Note:   Andrew joined the Army on January 9, 1864 in the town of Medford, MA. He was in the 39th Regiment. Joined under the name of John Johnson.
 Mustered into service July, August and September.
 It left MA for Washington DC on September 6,1862. Andrew AKA John Johnson, was captured at the Battle of Weldon Railroad, VA on August 18, 1864 after receiving a gun shot wound to the left hip and right hand. After being taken prisoner he was taken to Libby Prison, then to Belle Isle prison, in Richmond, VA.
 Then he was taken to Salsibury, NC on October 9, 1864 where he escaped. His widow eventually received a pension of $8.00 per month and $2.00 for each of the six children who were all under the age of 8 when he died of consumption (TB) probably contacted during the Civil War. He was 39 when he died. He lived on Parker Street when he passed away. While living in Gloucester he was a Fisherman.
