Note: DEED. WILSON CO. TN., District 12 ROLL NO. 14, BOOK 2, pp 66:67 Lorenzo D. DOUGHTY to William YOUNG [About 122 acs; $1400.00] I LORENZO D. DOUGHTY have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to WILLIAM YOUNG and his heirs and assigns forever for the consideration of One Thousand Four Hundred dollars to me paid a tract of land in the State of Tennessee, Wilson County District 12 on the waters of Dry fork of Round Lick Creek, being a part of a tract of land Granted to JAMES DAVIDSON containing by estimation One Hundred and Twenty Two acres 149 poles be the same more or less and bounded as follows beginning on a Chinquepin Oak on a branch in H. Z. BROWN's west boundary thence west one hundred and fifty four and a half poles to white walnut, thence south 40 degrees W. fifty poles to a Sugartree, thence south fifty five poles to stake in DAVID YOUNG's north boundary, thence east with said boundary two hundred and thirty nine poles to stake DAVID YOUNG's north west corner, thence north fifty seven and a half poles to Elm, thence west fifty two poles to Stake, thence north thirty five poles to the beginning. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same to the Said WILLIAM YOUNG that I am lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered. I do further covenant and bind myself, my heirs and assigns, and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the Said land and every part thereof to the Said WILLIAM YOUNG, his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatever This 12th October 1852. SPEARS of the State of Tennessee, Smith County, of the one part and L. D. DOUGHTY of the County of Wilson and State aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that the said C. W. SPEARS for and in consideration of the sum of Six Hundred Hundred Dollars to him paid the receipt whereof is acknowledged, hath bargained or sold and conveyed unto the said L. D. DOUGHTY his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land originally granted to JAMES DAVIDSON of 450 acres beginning at a white walnut and ironwood, thence south eighty eight poles and a half to a white walnut thence east 227 poles to two birches, thence north fifty one and a half poles to an elm thence west fifty two poles to a stake and elm and chinquepin oak, thence north thirty six and a half poles to a white ash and Chinquepin oak, thence west 175 poles to the beginning, containing by estimation 116 acres to have and to hold the aforesaid land with all the rights, profits, hereditaments and appurtainances of the same belonging to the said L. D. DOUGHTY, his heirs and assigns forever and the said C. H. SPEARS for himself, his heirs and assigns the above [recited?] land, I will warrant and defend against the right title interest or claim of all and every person or persons in witness whereof the said CHARLES H. CARTRIGHT have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to LORENZY DOUGHTY and his heirs forever for the consideration of seventy-five dollars to us paid a tract of land in the state of Tennessee, Wilson County District N, containing fifteen acres to the same acre or less, and bounded as follows, beginning at the northeast corner of the tract of land known by the name of ROGERS TRACT of land lying on Kitchens Creek of Round Lick Creek, thence south 141 poles to the southeast corner of the same tract, thence west 18 poles to a stake in the west boundry line of said tract, thence 18 poles to the beginning to have and to hold the same to the said DOUGHTY, his heirs and assigns forever, we do covenant with the said DOUGHTY that we are lawfully seized of said land, have a right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered; we do further covenant and bind ourselves, our heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the said DOUGHTY and his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever, this 10th day of September, 1838.
