Note: Obituary: WAYNE COUNTY RECORD, FAIRFIELD, ILLINOIS, Oct. 22, 1908 page 5, column 1 Emily A. Hearn was born December 24, 1841 in Virginia. She united in marriage with James A. Paul, October 27, 1859. To this union were born eleven children, five of whom preceeded their mother to a better world. She embraced religion and joined the Missionary Baptist Church while quite young, and remained in that church a number of years when she joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Tom's Prairie and lived a consistent member until her death, which occurred October 19, 1908. She was 66 years, 9 months, and 25 days old. "Blessed are the dead who die on the Lord."
