Note: Bandibaci and Terineni met at the cemetary in 1944. He was not interested in getting married during the war. In January, the front came to Budapest and Bandibaci and his family hid in a basement for two weeks.
Terineni was engaged for three years to a railroad engineer. He died one week before the wedding. He drowned in some river. Met Bandibaci later. There were three family members (not to be named) who did not want her to marry a worker. Later he won them over.
Nagypap gave Bandibaci permission to marry even though Api had not come home. Nap said: I was in Siberia for six years, don't make them wait. Remember how you felt when I was away for that long. Api sent word from Klagenfurd that he was alive. That is when Terineni was given permission to get married.
