  1851: Married Rebecca M McKinney on October 20,1851 in Mesopotamia,Trumbull Couty,OH. Married recorded in Warren, Trumbull County,OH.
  1860: WI FC 1860 Dane County, Dane Town, FHL #0805403 pg 97 dwelling 20 family 721. Bezailial is shown as a farmer with $300 personal property value. May have been renting land. Bezailial & Rebecca had a servant 18 year old Mary Lawrence(sp?) and 17 year old laborer Charles Kiting living in their house hold.
  1863: At age 38 Bezailial enlisted in the Union Army on December 30, 1863 in Westfield TWP, Fayette,IA (Following military information taked from pension file obtained from the WA,DC NARA).
  1864: Muster rolls show Bezailial in Davenport,IA on January 26,1864 being sworn into IA Company C, 3rd Infantry as a private. He had blue eyes, light hair, and was 5'10 1/2" in height. His pay was 50 cents per day ($13/month). While his company was in the Vicksburg & Red River area,(VA) he became sick from exposure and was sent to hospitals in Memphis, TN and Keokuk, IA. He had been sick since May 20, 1864. He was in the Keokuk Army Hospital from May 23,1864 to February 15,1865. While at Keokuk his right fore finger was amputated as a result of a ganrenous condition.
  1865: Bezailial was discharged on May 20,1865 in Fayette County, IA.
 Loyd Chandler's records has Bezalial b. in Fayette,Ashtabula Co., OH. Fayette is now in Fulton County in the Northwest portion of the state near the MI border.
  Neilon Jennings has a note that Bezailial fought for the North (Rev War) and his brother Robert fought for the South. Bezailial had a hot temper and swore that he never had a brother Robert.
  1875-79: Bezalial S. Chandler is shown as Postmaster of the Town Of Antler,Lake,OR from 9 Dec 1875 to 28 Apr 1879. Pg 105 Postmaster Appointments for the State and Territory of Oregon 1846-1971. Oregon Territorial Press 1998. According to Oregon Geographic Names Pg19, He as the first Postmaster,a native of OH,early settler in WI, and Civil War Veteran. Chandler Park named after him.
  1880:
  1890: Filed for a disability pension on October 7,1890 due to chronic diarrhea & loss of finger.
  1893: At age 68 while living in Lakeview,OR he filed again on March 7,1893. Height 5'10" Wt 155#.
  1898: Filed again on January 22,1898 age 72 height 5'7" weight 160#. Requested $50/mo. support.
  1900:
  Some time prior to his death he left his home in Lakeview at about 80 years of age and travelled to the US Army Hospital & Old Soldiers Home in Los Angeles, CA in hopes of being cured from his Civil War disabilities. His health was very bad with paralysis on one side of his body.
  1906: Bezailial died January 26,1906 in Los Angeles and is buried in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in LA. He has a daughter, Adelle Chandler Tucker who was living in Los Angeles at the time of his son Dan's death in 1944. Research is needed to see what ever happened to Adelle. The 1860 WI FC has her as Ellia/Ela. Chuck E. visited the VA Cemetery in 1990 and photographed the headstone.
  The US Army dropped Bezailial Chandler from their active government records on February 5,1906.
