1996: Obit in August 20, 1996 issue of the Medford Mail Tribune: THELMA PUHL Thelma Puhl, 89, of Medford, died Sunday (Aug. 18, 1996) at her home. Memorial contributions may be made to providence Community Health Foundation, Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504, or to a favorite charity. She was born Thelma Chandler on June 30, 1907, in Lakeview. On August 4, 1954, in Grants Pass, she married Herbert Puhl, who died in 1981. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1947 from Lakeview. Mrs Puhl was a secretary at the Veterans Affairs Domicillary in White City for many years. She attended First Presbyterian Church, Central Point. Survivors include a stepson , Roger H., Medford, five grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, and several neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven sisters. Arrangements by Memory Gardens Mortuary (Cemetery).
