His source was Flossie's Bible, which listed all children together with their birth and death dates (for the ones who died young). Alan says there were not any daughters Gwendolyn nor Dolly Straw, which were among the names of children remembered by the Straw children's Williams cousins. The total number of pregnancies was 22, including miscarriages.
