Page: No parents. From Don Garner: "Some months before finding you (J.H. Garner), I was pondering how to find some ancestry. I got the idea to go into Phone Search and look for any Garners in Dad's birth place, Newton Co, MO. Leon's name popped up, so I called and his wife talked with me at length. She was very nice, and he was in the background. At that time she could only get me back to a Joel Herman, which didn't connect because I needed a Joel Labron. They said they had some more detailed info that they would dig out if I cared to come back later. I found your website by accident by simply plugging "Garner" into a general search access on my server's webpage. Many things popped up, books, business, etc. Then I spotted your, "Return to Newton County". BINGO ! I tried to connect to tell you I knew your William Timothy Garner, but my e-mail bombed. It may have been an old server. Next, I told David what I found and as you know, he fished around an found your current address. Ater I mailed you that list, you sent me a list that you were having trouble connecting. You said that If anything gave me a "glimmer". Well it did, it looked like our buddy Leon, so I called them again. This time they had the additional info at hand and took me through Joel Herman Garner, ( the "Herman" that I didn't like before), to William Spencer Garner Jr. I knew you had already tied in William Spencer Garner Jr. So again, BINGO !"
