Albert is listed as a farmer, land valued at $2,500 and shows his birthplace as VA. Dwelling #106, Family #117 Albert G. Sims 41 m VA Eliza J. 29 f KY George Henry 8 m Ky (Note George was named for his uncle Henry Sims, Talladega, AL) Ann M 6 f Ky Mary E. 4 f KY Miressa J. 3 F KY Given the two census information plus the earliest dated letter from Albert to Henry it appears that Albert moved from Alabama to Kentucky on or around 1841 (also given that his eldest was 8 in 1850 and was born in KY). This would also place the marriage of Albert and Eliza circa 1841. On a personal note, if you read the letters that Albert wrote to Henry you can tell what an intelligent, loving person Albert was. He admired his older brother Henry so., and cared deeply for his family and friends. I hope one day to spend more time on Albert and find out much more about this honorable individual.
