  Her background:
 Thomas Wyllys, a sidsman of Lancaster Parish in Virginia in 1657, & wf Mary were grantors in a deed in Lancaster I Oct 1667 to Abraham Weekes, there is in Middlesex County(formerly a part of
 Lancaster) a marriage contract dated 6 Feb 1670 between Mary Willis, widow, and Mathew
 Bentley, shoemaker, making provision in favor of her children, Richard, John and Eleanor Willis.
 Mathew Bentley died 6 Jan 1685 and Mrs. Mary Bentley 27 Sept 1684, In his will he mentions
 Mary and Robert Aldin, John Willis and Richard Willis, the latter executor. The Register of
 Christ Church Parish, Middlesex, records: Mary Willis christened 23 Feb 1660; Thomas Willis
 born 8 Sept 1660; Eleanor Willis born 18 Apr 1655; Richard Willis born 29 Aug 1656; John Willis

  Eleanor Willis, Dau of Thomas and Mary Willis married Robert Alden (Aldin, Aldin, etc,) and
 later Richard Kemp. The Register of Christ Church, Middlesex County, shows Katharine, Dau
 of Robert & Eleanor Alden, bapt. 24 May 1685, and John Aldin, son of Robert & Eleanor
 Alden, B Mar 1683 & baptized 8 Apr 1683. There is no mention of Mary , who Is named in the
 following deed: "There is in Middlesex Co. a deed dated Oct 5s 1717 from Eleanor Kemp of
 Essex, widow., to her daughters Mary Nalle, Catherine Tebbetts and to a person named Aldin,
 She speaks of land where her brother Richard Willis lived and died and conveys a considerable
 amount of land in Essex and in Middlesex Counties," VaM32ofHistorvVoI5-250: Fleet's

  Essex Co. Va. DB D17-108: Richard Kemp & Eleanor his wf- agreement -tract of land formerly granted by Patent unto Hugh Wood, Richard & wf by deed of gift convey to Mary & Katharine Aldyis, Eleanor's two Daus., tract cont. 200 acres, Now know ye the sd Mary, now wife of Martin Nalle, her said husband & the aforesaid Katharine now wife of James Sams all of Parish of Southfarnham in County aforesaid, etc. .(Signed) Martin Nalle, Mary Nalle, James (x) Sams Katharine (x) Sams Oct 16, 1722 Division of land between Martin Nalle & James Sams was presented in the court by sd Nalle & Sams Essex co Va DB 17-108 & WB 5, folio 271; 6-366.
  Martin Nalle, whose will was recorded in Essex co Va in 1728, mentions in it his wife Mary &
 eight children, naming John, Martin & Winnifred; and Mary in her will 22 Mar 1734 mentions children Nathan, Amy Frazer, Agnes Nalle, Richard, John & Martin. John Nalle's will, written 16 Sept 1780 & probated in 1782 in Culpeper co Va, mentions children: Richard, John, William, Francis, James, Agatha Hill, Mary Sims, Ann Burk, Elizabeth Sims, Amie Morris, Grissel Parker; wf Elizabeth (mother of my son John); and others. To his daughter Agatha Hill he gave 2 service of slaves during her life & 1/2 to my grandson James Sims; to daughter Mary Sims 10 shillings; to daughter Elizabeth Sims, he lent slaves and then to her children; etc. Culpeper Co., VA co Va WB B-519: see also Essex co Va DB 20-88.
