 Known Son of James Sims and Jane Towles Sims:
 Rappahannock Co., VA deeds show that Oliver Sims (only known son of James Sims and Jane Towles prior to our research (Lisa Baggett, May 1, 2002)) sold to Daniel Mason for $100 "all my interests in 7 Negroes now in possession of Lucy Sims (James Sims sister and Oliver's aunt on his fathers side) of Culpeper County:-which belong to her during her life as will appear by the will of Father Thomas Sims after which they to be sold and proceeds divided among nine other children, of which my Father James Sims was one, and he also became purchaser of another said interest in said Negroes (his brother Jeremiah's) and further, my brothers, four in number (we know now that other brothers are 1) Henry Sims of Renfroe 2) Albert G. Sims of Christian Co., KY and 3) James Sims of Green County., KY. Early research shows that the 4th brother may be Reuben Sims (Lisa Baggett, May 1, 2002) have authorized me to dispose of their entire interest with mind considered aforementioned $100 (being Negro Gett or Gelly (?) and her 6 children.)
  Bill of sale. Signed Oliver (X) Sims, (Rappahannock Co., VA DB B-p456)
 ====================================================================================
 From above you can see that James had 2/9 interest in 7 Negroes (his share and his brother Jermiah's share) which divided among his five sons (Oliver, Henry, Albert, James and unknown). This would have given Henry a 2/45 interest in the $100 or $4.44.
 ====================================================================================
 Oliver Sims was listed on 1811 & 1821 TL of Culp co Va.
