Notes
a. Note:   At Eunice death, her estate was valued at $25,000.00. After expenditures the balance of the estate was paid in cash to:
Elizabeth McDonald, niece, daughter of Mildred Sims McDonald.
Nathlee Cook Cole, niece, daughter of Janette Sims Cook.
Lovedia Wood, niece, daughter of Joe Sims.
 W. Hugh Sims, nephew, son of Herbert Lee Sims.
Lalia Hethcox, niece, daughter of Herbert Lee Sims.
Malcolm Cook, nephew, son of Janette Sims Cook.
Virginia Sims, niece, daughter of Joe Sims.
Henry Sims, nephew, son of Joe Sims.
While heirs from her father Henry's first marriage were stated in the estate papers, the final settlement did not include distribution to this heirs. (Descendents of Albert G. Sims and James Anthony Sims, sons of Henry Sims and Martha Louisa Hayes Sims.)
  Personal Notes:
Bless Eunice's heart I really know very little about her to share with future generations. She did not marry and I believe lived in the shadow of her much more domineering sister, Claudia. The two single women lived their lives together at St. Ives and after the home burned, rebuilt a new home on the old home site and lived there. Eunice, I am sure, worked hard at the plantation, maintaining the home and cotton fields and other lands. I am sure this was a huge responsibility for Claudia and Eunice and by their determination did a very good job. There were almost no letters, documents, etc from Eunice in the papers saved from the St. Ives fire. I can only assume that she was quiet, somewhat shy and meek (given the only picture I have of her at this date shows her head bowed and introverted body language).
Eunice lived longer than any other child of Henry and Lizzie; she was almost 82 when she died. (Claudia died at 79, Herbert Lee 70, Nettie 60, Joe 74 and Mildred 78.)
I can only hope that Eunice had a good life and is resting in peace and joy.
