Note: Henry L. Sims, Sr. was a very good, kind and hardworking person. He always had at least two (2) jobs. Ran a store in the country, farmed, and substitute mail carrier. In later years, he and Lawrence Wood, brother-in-law, operated a store on Battle Street in downtown Talladega. He also supervised the Talladega County warehouse of Surplus Foods until his retirement.
