IN the 1920 Census he is living at the same place but alone, age 53, widower, immigrated in 1880, house painter, born in Canada, father born in Scotland, mother born in Canada. In the 1930 census he is written as “Geoge” D. Isbister, age 74. widower, age at first marriage 20, place of birth looks like St. John, then crossed out and over-written, father born Scotland, mother born Canada, occupation difficult to read, could be Painter Building Int. Living with his brother Frank at 277 Dudley St. Boston. Death notice: Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. George Isbister of Maplewood Avenue, in the death of George Isbister Sr., father of Mr Isbister, at the age of 81 years. He died suddenly Wednesday night at the home of his son, with whom he had been living. Funeral services were held this afternoon.
