Note:   Joseph Garcia Rosa is in the marriage book covering 1852-1910, published by the Genealogy Society of Siskiyou County. He married Margarite Silva in October of 1893, in Big Springs, CA.
  He died alone at his ranch at 76 of pnemonia. Worked as a farmer and miner. Last name may be spelled Roza in marriage book. Came to the US in 1886. All the Rose's lived on Greenhorn Road outside Yreka. Proof that Manuel, Frank, "Belle", and Mary were Joe's brothers and sisters came from the Siskiyou News of August 26, 1926. The death certificates of Joe, Manuel, Mary and Isobel list the same father--Antonio G. Rosa and the mother on Joe's death certificate is listed as Maria (this certificate was filled out by Katherine Rose-Allison) and on Mary's and Isobel's death certificate as Mary Francis.
  From the Siskiyou Pioneer, 1961 John Solus' first job was on the Rose and Louie ranches. About 1886 he helped build the Joe Rose house. (This building is still standing but has been converted to a hay barn.)
