Note: Marie's daughter Helen was raised by her sister Kate Rose Allison. Kate lived in Sacramento from at least the middle 1950's to her death.
The other two daughters were apparently raised by the husband. From Obit. in Yreka paper: MRS. MARIE BARBIN, MOTHER OF THREE YOUNG DAUGHTERS, PASSED AWAY YESTERDAY. Following a lingering and painful illness ot two years, Mrs. Marie Barbin, aged 30, died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rose of Greenhorn, yesterday and funeral arrangements will be made today. Mrs. Barbin was born in Yreka and was widely known in Siskiyou County. She is survived by her children, Louise, age 6, Phyllis, aged 4, and Helen, aged 18 months, and four brother, Charles, Joseph, Richard and Ronald Rose, and three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Allison and Lucille and Margaret Rose, all of Yreka.
