Note: "Robert Hudson Simpson was about 1 to 1 1/2 years old when he and his parents moved to Michigan from Iowa. Robert Wayne Simpson has his Dad's birth certificate, and navy papers. "We were married at a ministers home
on Grand Blanc Road, in Rankin, Michigan", Per Shirley Elaine Spangler (Torrey/Simpson), Roberts' surviving wife, on the telephone with me on
Saturday, 23 November, 1996. JTS.
Shirley followed up with a letter to me, received on 21 Dec 1996 (see my
files), wherein she indicated she and Robert were 'married at the home of
a Rev Wise in Rankin, Michigan'. JTS.
Born in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Note: All of Robert and Clara's children,
except Robert Hudson, were born at the Women's Hospital, Flint,
Michigan. (James T. Simpson has a photograph and description of the
Hospital in his files).
Buried at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, in Garden of the Good Shepard, Plot # 220, 2020 E. Hill Rd, Grand Blanc, MI. Telephone: 810-694-4101.
Robert's son, Paul Dennis Simpson, is buried along side of him.
