Text: National Archives, Civil War pension file of Isaiah Wallace, Co. G 17 WV Infantry, Widow's App. #448.637, Widow's Cert. #295.018. Says Isaiah is Urias' brother and Nathaniel's cousin. Since Urias was the son of William F. & Mary Wallace, so was Isaiah. This is confirmed by Isaiah's family sharing a house with William F & Mary Wallace in 1850 census. Civil War Pension File of Isaiah Wallace Co G, 17 WV Infantry Widow's App #448.637, Cert #295.018 (Lucinda's pension) Studied at National Archives, 3 Oct 1985 DROP CARD - Lucinda Wallace died 18 Oct 1903 at Key, Belmont County, Ohio WIDOW'S PENSION approved June 1, 1891. - Isaiah died March 1870 - His former wife died 1855-6. - He married Lucinda Oct. 4, 1857. DECLARATION for Widow's Pension, 22 July 1890 - Lucinda, age 63, residing Mead Twp - She was married to Isaiah under the name Lucinda Baer, 6 Oct 1857 by James Hammond, JP, at Wegee, Belmont County, Ohio. - They have no children under age 16 living. - Signed by her mark. GENERAL AFFIDAVIT, 20 Jan 1891, by Urias V. Wallace, age 60, of Pipe Creek, Belmont County, and by Mary Wallace, age 52, of Pipe Creek: - "Urias...testifies that he is a brother of the said Isaiah...also that he was acquainted with his former wife Elizabeth." - Signed by both (Urias & Mary). GENERAL AFFIDAVIT, 14 March 1890 by Wm. Gallaher, age 63, of Pipe Creek, and W.G.Wiley, age 67, of Pipe Creek. - "W.G.Wiley testifies that Elizabeth Wallace the former wife of Isaiah Wallace was a full sister of mine." CERTIFIED copy of Marriage Record: - Isaiah Wallace & Lucinda Bair (sic) married 4 Oct 1857. - Same document also spells it BEAR. .
