The following notice was in the local newspaper -no date recorded-- We regret to record the death of James Quaife of 4 Grove Road Ore , which occured on Sunday . Mr. Quaife was a forrester and was in the employ of the corporation for several years . But owing to ill health , he left about a year ago . The funeral took place yesterday (Friday) afternoon at Hollington church - in the wood . The mourners were - Mrs. Quaife (widow) 4 Sons - John , James(possibly Jem ) ,Alfred and Fred . Five daughters - Lottie , Kate ,Maud ,Emma and Nellie and the mother deceased . There was an enormous amount of wreaths from the family . The coffin of polished oak with brass fittings was born by 4 forresters , Brothers - Farroll ,Fuller ,Willet and Blackmire .
