He is listed as the husband of Hellena (age 26) and the father of Augustus (age 4) and John W. (age 8 mos.). Also living in household is Ida Fox (age 56), born in Holland, and assumed to be Hellena's mother.
Census Record: 1880 Census dated 8 June) of Sullivan Twp., Livingston County, Illinois, lists W. R. Foulk as a 44-yr-old farmer. Birthplace is given as Ohio. (Note: place of birth for both his mother and father is given as Pennsylvania). He is listed as the husband of Hellena (age 34) and the father of Augustus (age 13), John (age 10), Addie (age 8) and Maggie (age 6). Also living in household is Maggie Fochs (age 67), born in Holland. This is assumed to be Hellena's mother and the same individual who was listed on the 1870 Census as Ida Fox.

The birth certificate of Ida Jane Foulk says that her father (William R. Foulk) was born in Pennsylvania.
