Holmes, 22 S. Lafayette, Mobile, Alabama 36604. Mrs. Holmes mentions in her letter that Stephen Sr. is listed in the 1850 Census for Missouri and in this census his state of birth is given as Virginia. Letter also states that his wife in 1841 was a woman with the given name of Christina. Letter also states that Stephen Sr. moved to Kentucky about 1818 where his was listed on the Whitley County tax list until 1831. He owned 50 or 100 acres on Gilico Creek. Mrs. Holmes letter also states that one of Stephen Sr.'s sons, Elisha, married Polly (Mary) McKee on 16 Aug 1819 in Whitley County, Kentucky. Probate Record: John Blevins is named as "principal" and administrator of the estate of Stephen Blevins, Sr., deceased. Two documents, both dated 26 January 1852. Riley Blevins and William are also mentioned. Heirs of Stephen Blevins, Sr., are listed as Andrew, John and Riley Blevins, and Rebecca Corder (all of Johnson County, Missouri); Elisha and Daniel Blevins (whose residences were unknown), Stephen Blevins, Jr., and Rachael Fletcher (living in Henry County, Missouri).
