 Richard Louis died at the young age of 46 years. His cause of death was consumption in his obituary. (source; Amherstburg Echo 1895)
  Richard's Obituary Reads;
 DeLisle- In Malden, on Saturday, December 29th, of consumption. Richard DeLisle, aged 46 years, 1 month and 27 days.
 Deceased was the son of the late John B. DeLisle and has spent his whole life in Malden. He was married to Mary, daughter of the late Hubert Derigia, of Colchester South, and she survives him along with four children, three of whom are at home and the other married to John Brothers, jr. of Malden. He had been ill about two years and confined to the house for three months before his death. His surviving brothers are John of Anderdon, Albert of Toledo, Ohio, and Henry of Malden. Mrs. John S. Brown of Anderden, Mrs. John Neff and Mrs. Oliver Richard of Toledo. The funeral too take place Monday.....(to dark to read the funeral arrangements).
