Notes
a. Note:   Lorette Ann Woodbury graduated from Springfield High School. Her commencement program is still in the family papers.
Lorette Woodbury designed their large Victorian style farmhouse that is still standing on Chubb Hill. She and her husband raised a large family of eight children who all lived to adulthood.
She and her sons managed the farm during the time that Homer was away preaching.
Lorette and Homer were both greatly influenced by their faith, after a religious conversion as adults.
One of the saddest events in their life was when their son, Jamie, recently married, died during a diphtheria epidemic. Few people came ot the funeral because they were afraid of catching the disease.
They both travelled to the World's Fair in Chicago, certainly the longest trip Lorette ever made.
Please see the book, The Chubb Hill Farm and Cavendish, VT by Barbara B,. Kingsbury. This tells about the life of Lorette and Homer Kingsbury's children and grandchildren and combines family history with local history.
