Notes
a. Note:   John was run over by a street car in Peoria, Illinois and sustained head injuries. As a result of his injuries he was incarcerated in the State Hospital, Bartonsville, Illinois. The records for the hospital have been sealed but I was able to find a hospital cemetery record that depicted a John Quinn interred in Cemetery #3, Row 5, stone #2692, no date of birth, interrment date March 6, 1940. James 'Jim' Calvetti remembers visiting 'Uncle John" at the hospital and taking him tobacco. A John Quinn is on the 1920 and 1930 census records at the State Hospital. If this is Peter's brother, John must have changed his name from Querio to Quinn. The 1920 census indicates that John was a US citizen, was divorced and death certificate gives no clues as to other relatives.
There are several web sites devoted to paranormal activity related to the patients of Bartonville. Bartonville closed in 1972 and is no longer in use. The Bartonville Hospital and 'The Crying Tree" is located on private property between Peoria and Pekin, Illinois.
The 1930 census shows 2 John's with identical background information but different ages.
