  Joseph McCormick, labourer, male, age 63 years, died 2nd September 1944 at River Bank Cliffside via Red Cliffs, Shire of Mildura. Usual place of residence: Red Cliffs, Mildura. Male, aged 63. Cause of death: Coronary thrombosis, natural causes to wit heart failure, verdict at inquest held at Mildura on 8th September 1944 by the Deputy Coroner (Mr J. Patterson) J.P.
 Parents names: Micheal McCormick, labourer and Nancy (note error) McCormick, nee O'Brien.
 Informant: Edgar Osborne Forge? Constable of Polic, Red Cliffs, present at inquest.
 Registered by D.M. O'Brien, 8th September 1944, resident of Mildura.
 Buried 4th September 1944 at Red Cliffs, Victoria. Rev. J. Green, Roman Catholic Priest, present.
 Born: Leicester; England; 28 years in Victoria, 35 years in England.
 Not married, no issue.

a. Note:   Joseph did not keep in touch with his sister at all, and my father had no knowledge of his existence in Australia. A Doreen May O'Brien registered his death, indicating that part of the O'Brien family was probably here and around the mildura area earlier then previously thought.
