  There is a photo of Mark as part of a group of pilots taken in 1920.
  Mark would have been about 11 months old when he was put into the West Grimstead orphanage with his brothers, and about 6 years old when he was taken home to his family.

 Mark was put in an insane asylum at some stage between 1920 and 1923. The story is that his uncle Michael McCormick helped him get out and onto a boat for Australia.
