Note: Jacob and Maggie Quillen had no children. They had one adopted daughter Sarah Alean Ward Quillen.
Sarah Alean Ward was left an orphan with the death of her mother. She went to live with Jacob W. and Maggie Grissom Quillen at age 8 and was adopted by them. Jacob was the son of a well known Baptist Minister David Quillen and the grandson of an even more well know Baptist Minister Elder Jacob Browning, who founded many Baptist Churches in West Tennessee.
