a. Note:   Vester Tilero Shuler was born April 12, 1903 and died May 12, 1979. He was born and reared in Georgia. He worked as a young man in Akron, Ohio before moving to east Tennessee where he married Leona Nix in about 1930. She died in 1939.
  On June 5, 1942, in Kimball, Nebraska, he married Birdie M. Nix. He worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority in North Carolina and the Union Pacific Railroad in Cheyenne, Wyoming until 1947, when he moved to Colorado. After living in several towns in the state, he settled in Galeton and worked for Monfort of Colorado, Inc.
  At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth R. Johnston of Cleveland, Tennessee and Mrs. Steve Musgrave of Fort Morgan, Colorado; two sons, Ronald Vester Shuler of Eaton and Donnie Shuler of Greeley; two brothers, Marion Graden and Francis Mercer both of Blairsville, Georgia; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Johnson of Greeley; and eleven grandchildren. His final resting place is in Eaton, Colorado.
