Note: I (Ranette) have in my possession a very small, imitation black leather bound New Testament that belonged to Arnlold Coleman (my father). On the flyleaf is this inscription: ": Arnold Coleman received christ Feb 5, 1949, 9:00 p.m., Saturnday Night Youth For Christ, Church of the Open Door, Los angeles, California." The inscription is in his own handwriting (printing). On one of the back pages is his typed name and address : Arnold D. Coleman, 1174 West 39th Pl., L. A. 37, Calif. Phone AX 1-7096.
Arnold went by the name Duane as a child and youth. I assume that he started going by Arnold (Arnie) when he left home, but I am not sure when he changed to Arnold. With his close friends he went by Arnie.
