Born Aug 25 1863 Collin County, eight miles north of Farmersvile TX, 18 75 moved to Hunt County, 1926 moved to Dallas, 1st marriage was Nov 27 188 7. He died 1890. Later Aug. 1910 she married to Mr. George M. Smith, . .. he died Aug. 5, 1923.
She lived 100 plus years.

She was as sharp as a tack and knows exact dates and locations and talks c oherently at a clip faster than one can take notes. She was proud to ke ep up with current events of the world, and with the help of a hearing ai d, she listened to every news broadcast. Current events were her favorite t opics of discussions.
She was very prayerful, knew the Psalms by heart, she was a deeply religio us woman but no fanatic. She was a life long Methodist, and proud of it.
"I lived long because of hard work, I worked all my life until I got my i ll health.... I cooked for gin hands for 14 years besides keeping up wi th my other work around the house. ... I started working when I could sta nd in a chair to wash dishes and have ever since."
She lived near Farmersville until her 12th year then moved to Hunt County w here she lived until '26, then to Dallas.
