a. Note:   Iowa. He married Ellen Griffin in 1875 in Muscatine County Iowa. He moved to Pottawattamie County, IA before 1878 and was living in Shelby County, IA by 1891. 1900 found Martin in Cedar County, Nebraska. He died there about 1923.
  Obit: Provided by Richard Williamson, Tuscon AZ. April 5th ? Martin moved to Cedar County NE in 1900. Eight years ago last January from above date his wife passed away. She died the day following the celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary. The late Martin McFadden leaves to mourn his departure four children. Mrs Frank Allison of Hayward, CA, Mrs. Merrith Myers of Kimball, SD, Edward McFadden of Coleridge and Miss Alice McFadden of Coleridge. He also leaves 3 brothers, Tom and David of Hartington, M. McFadden of Mission, Texas and Two sisters, Mrs. Hugh Pray of Thompson, IA and Miss Hannah McFadden of Hartington.
