Note: Raised by Uncle William & Aunt Elizabeth after his mother and a twin died soon after his birth. The aunt was able to nurse him because she had just lost a baby. Several years later, when his father wanted him back, William & Elizabeth and an older son moved to Oregon so as not to give him up. He did not see his father again until 1915. Lived in Portland and Eugene where he was secretarty to the Eugene Water and Light Board. Moved to Texas in 1919, but left in 1923 because of the unhealthy climate and poor schools. In California worked for Pacific Gas & Electric Company on the Pitt River Project, then the Salt Springs Project. Death certificate.
